We the undersigned petition the Council to campaign for changes to law regarding disabled parking bays.
Disabled persons parking bays are essential for blue badge holders as it reserves street parking and gives an accessible space near to their residence.
This petition is to request the Council to campaign for a change in the law so enforcement action can be taken when a disabled parking bay is occupied by a non blue badge holder and that enforcement is the duty of parking services.
As the law stands illegal parking in a disabled parking bay is
not enforceable by the local authority.
