Flooding Crisis in Templers Avenue Alleyway

We the undersigned petition the Council to take swift action to address this flooding issue and prevent future occurrences.

We, the undersigned residents of Templers Avenue, Canley, write to express our profound dismay and frustration regarding the ongoing flooding crisis in the alleyway at the bottom of Templars Avenue. This issue has persisted for over a decade, endangering the safety and health of our community, particularly our children.

According to the residents, test have revealed traces of rat urine in the stagnant water, highlighting the severity of the situation. Our children, who attend nearby schools, face daily hazards navigating through flooded areas, resulting in attending school with wet shoes and feet, exposing them to potential health risks and discomfort.

Despite previous notifications, the council's response has been woefully inadequate, Instead of addressing the issue head-on, it appears to have been shuffled from one bureaucratic department to another with no tangible progress or resolution in sight leaving our community feeling neglected. We demand immediate action, including a comprehensive plan to address the root causes of flooding and prevent its recurrence.

Please prioritise this issue with the urgency it deserves to ensure the safety of our residents.
