Access to Floyds Field, Tanners Lane, Tile Hill, for Wheelchair Users and Pushchair Users

We the undersigned petition the Council to make Floyds Field more accessible for wheelchair users and pushchair users. At the moment neither can get onto the fields because of the position of the metal barriers at each field which are intended to prevent motor bikes and quad bikes from getting on to the fields. If the Council can support this petition, everyone can enjoy the green fields

Residents have written to the Council a couple of times about appropriate access to Floyds Field, Tanners Lane, Tile Hill, especially for wheelchair and pushchair users.
At the moment neither can get onto the fields because of the position of the metal barriers at each field which are intended to prevent motor bikes and quad bikes from getting on to the fields.
However, even if wheelchair and pushchair users could get onto the fields there is no walkway/path around the perimeter of field offering safe and level access. There is only grass and a very uneven surface.
Also, there are no benches anywhere on the site for walkers to rest and admire the view.
Local residents are still waiting for Coventry City Council to them know what they intend to do about giving access to everyone. At the moment the situation is discriminatory and very unfair.
