Treherne Road Traffic Calming

We the undersigned petition the Council to consider traffic calming for Treherne Road. The road is in the Radford area of Coventry, it currently has a speed limit of 30mph. However, motorists travelling on this road far exceed the speed limit, increasing the prospect of accidents. The road is now a rat run since Average Speed Enforcement cameras have been installed on Burnaby Road, the limit exceeded many times on a daily basis. This impacts on the safety of residents living in the immediate area, both the day and night. We call upon the Council to install traffic calming measures as we are concerned it is just a matter of time before there is a serious accident.

Treherne Road is a rat run which is plagued by speeding, it is only a matter of time before there is a serious accident.
Recently 2 cars collided at the junction of Treherene Road and Rupert Road resulting in one car overturning.
Also there is a problem with people parking on junctions and the pavement, especially with Foster Road where the road is narrow. Several cars have been damaged by this and pedestrian access is limited, especially for disabled and push chairs.
