Coventry has seen a tremendous increase in the number of Electric Vehicle, EV, charging points around the city, which is clearly fantastic. Unfortunately, many of these bays are frequently occupied by internal combustion engine vehicles, which defeats the object and discourages EV adoption. We believe that parking spaces that have an EV charging point must only be available to those with the EV green number plate. Those without the green number plate who park in an EV charging bay must be issued with a penalty charge notice.
