This junction has become very dangerous for pedestrians due to the short time between lights changing that needs to be used to cross these busy roads. This junction is crossed by many school children from Whitmore Park and President Kennedy schools and other nearby schools. Both of these roads have a lot of traffic, particularly Burnaby Road which is now used by a lot of HGVs.
