Proposed 5G mast Allesley Old Road

We the undersigned petition the Council to reconsider the site of 5G mast as it is very close to residential properties and long term health implications are still unsure. It is in a conservation area and next to a property on the heritage watchmakers trail.

The proposed site is in close proximity to residential properties and the long term health implications from the radio waves emitted are still under constant review and results vary from study to study but WHO accept that they are carcinogenic a similar risk as eating some foods ie bacon. But we have the choice not to eat those foods but local residents would have no choice of avoiding exposure. Chapelfields is a conservation area and many houses are on the heritage watchmakers trail visited by enthusiasts and local school children. 5G masts are not aesthetically pleasing and not in keeping with a conservation area. Its proposed site is on a junction and due the size of the mast and its position on the pavement I foresee drivers losing concentration to look at it causing potential accidents. Lakeview Park is very close to the proposed site and there we have an abundance of wildlife such as foxes, herons, red kites and bats. Less than half a mile away is an industrial site with no residential properties and off the roadside and I propose that this should be considered as an alternative site.
