We the undersigned petition the Council to install average speed cameras on Quinton Road. Since the beginning of lockdown, the speed of the cars on Quinton Road is at times frightening and extremely dangerous. The straight stretch of road, I believe is the attraction to numerous drivers to in essence “put the foot down” and even more so to “boy racers” especially post 9pm.
As a resident living on Quinton Road, pulling out onto the main
road is risky given the speeds these cars are travelling.
Additionally, attempting to cross the road by foot is equally very
treacherous as the cars are driving fast coupled with being close
to the curb side.
