This piece of land was originally an undeveloped wild green area (the lodge garden), but has been destroyed and transformed into a Council works depot, with machinery operating and regular vehicle activity involving a fleet, operating city wide. No due process was followed and no appropriate applications for planning or change of use were submitted to obtain permission for the above. The fleet of vehicles and machinery that now operates from the depot, beginning early in the morning, is an antisocial nuisance and has caused considerable distress to those residents of Jacob Drive who are affected. This development has been carried out surreptitiously but Council officers are seeking to deny that any development has taken place.
