Cheylesmore House holds around 1,000 civil servants, many of whom walk to the building from the train station or other parts of town. Quinton Road during rush hour periods is busy coming in and out of town, and can be dangerous to cross during these times. Installation of a crossing with help promote greener modes of transport, including walking, to Cheylesmore House, would reduce the need for users to drive to the building, whilst also making Quinton Road safer to navigate for the wider population.
