1.	Appointment of Chair Minutes: RESOLVED that Councillor T Khan be appointed as Chair for the meeting.

Licensing Act 2003 - Application for a New Premises Licence PDF 823 KB To consider an application for a new premises licence in respect of Morrisons Daily Petrol filling Station, Alvis Retail Park, Holyhead Road, Coventry. Additional documents: Email - Gosschalks , item 3. PDF 426 KB Email - Police , item 3. PDF 856 KB Minutes: An application had been submitted by WM Morrison Supermarkets PLC for a premises licence. The application sought for opening and the supply of alcohol off the premises 24 hours a day Monday to Sunday and late night refreshment between the hours of 11.00 pm and 5.00 am Monday to Sunday. West Midlands Police as a Responsible Authority had objected to the application. Following mediation between the parties, an agreement had been reached for a reduction in hours of opening and licensable activities. The agreement reached was for opening and the supply of alcohol off the premises between 6.00 am and Midnight, Monday to Sunday, and late night refreshment from 11.00 pm to Midnight, Monday to Sunday. The Police confirmed in writing that this reduction in hours would meet their concerns. As such, the parties agreed that the hearing could be dispensed with in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 (Hearing) Regulations 2005, and the application including the reduced hours for opening and licensable activities could be presented to the Sub Committee for determination in their absence. The Sub Committee duly considered the application together with the agreed proposals provided by WM Morrison Supermarket PLC and West Midlands Police. The Sub Committee recognised that this reduction in hours could meet the concerns of West Midlands Police and noted that there had been no other objections to the application. RESOLVED that the Sub Committee grant the application for the premises licence with the hours of opening and the supply of alcohol off the premises between 6.00 am and midnight Monday to Sunday and late night refreshment from 11.00 pm to Midnight Monday to Sunday.
