Application S73/2021/3360 - Butts Arena, Butts Report of the Strategic Lead for Planning Additional documents: Minutes: The Committee considered a report of the Strategic Lead for Planning, detailing the above application for removal of condition No.15 - the Rugby stadium shall not be used for musical concerts, religious festivals or social gatherings; imposed on planning permission reference 47266/A granted on 21/01/2003 for partial demolition and re-grading of existing sports ground and replacement with new rugby stadium incorporating three spectator stands, a business/ leisure/function centre, new student residences, ancillary car parking, landscaping and access arrangements. The application was recommended for approval.
Councillor B Singh, a Whoberley Ward Councillor, spoke in respect of his request that consideration be given to a residents parking scheme. The applicant had been invited to respond but was not in attendance.
