The Committee considered a report of the Strategic Lead for Planning, detailing the above application for the development of 115 dwellings including 25% affordable housing provision, and associated works and infrastructure including vehicular and pedestrian access and diversion of public right of way which was recommended for approval.

 

Councillors J Birdi, T Jandu, P Male and G Williams together with a number of members of the public spoke or had statements read in respect of their objections to the application. The applicant’s representative spoke in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be granted in respect of Application FUL/2020/1059 subject to conditions and the completion of a S106 Agreement to secure the contributions listed within the report.

 

(Note:  Having declared an interest, Councillor A Andrews withdrew from the meeting during consideration of this item).

The Committee considered a report of the Strategic Lead for Planning, detailing the above application for removal/variation of conditions: 2: opening times, 4: drawings imposed on planning permission FUL/2016/2113 for Change of Use from retail (A1) to café takeaway (A3 and A5), external extraction flue, alterations to shop front and raised planters.  The application was recommended for approval.

 

Councillor Lapsa and two members of the public made representations in respect of their objections to the application. The applicant’s representative spoke in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be granted in respect of Application S73/2020/2735 to vary Condition 2 to enable the premises to be open until 8.00pm, Monday to Saturday and Condition 4 in respect of the revised details of the extraction flue.

 

(Note: Councillor Walsh did not vote on the application as he had experienced technical issues for a short period of time so was not present for the entire discussion)

Councillor Williams spoke in respect of his objections to the application and a member of the public who was also objecting to the application had their statement read. The applicant’s representative spoke in support of the application.

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be refused in respect of Application OUT/2020/2762.
