The Committee considered a report of the Head of Planning and Regulation detailing the above application for the demolition of the existing house and the erection of a replacement dwelling. The application was recommended for approval subject to conditions.

 

The Committee also considered a petition objecting to the application, bearing 87 signatures, which was sponsored by Councillor K Taylor, an Earlsdon Ward Councillor. Councillor Taylor and the petition spokesperson attended the meeting and spoke in respect of the petition. Councillor K Sandhu, also an Earlsdon Ward Councillor attended the meeting and spoke in respect of her objections to the application. The applicant and the applicant’s agent attended the meeting and spoke in support of the application.

 

The tabled late representations document reported that a further petition was received bearing 61 signatures objecting to the application.

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be granted in respect of Application FUL/2018/3439, subject to conditions.

The tabled late representations document reported that due to further late issues being raised by local residents in relation to the adjacent Village Green and its relationship to the proposed works to the adjoining ditch, officers sought a deferral of the consideration of this application to a future meeting. This would allow officers additional time to fully consider and respond to the recent issues raised by local residents and fully address the concerns relating to the long-term protection of the village green.

 

RESOLVED that the consideration of Application DC/2018/3424 be deferred to a future meeting.
