Agenda and minutes

Following the recent death of former Councillor, Mrs Lancaster, the Committee paid tribute to her and a minute silence was observed.

On behalf of the Committee, the Chair thanked Roy Hammond for his legal support during his time at the Council and wished him well in the future.

There were no declarations of interest.

To agree the minutes of the Committee meeting held on 12 January 2022

The minutes of the Committee meeting held on 12^th January, 2022 were signed as a true record, subject to the addition of Councillor R Simpson to the list of apologies.

RESOLVED that, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the items of business indicated below on the grounds that those items involve the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in Schedule 12A of that Act, in particular those paragraphs of Part 1 of the Schedule as indicated:

There were no outstanding issues.

There were no other items of public business.

RESOLVED that, having considered the circumstances set out in the report of the Director of Street Scene and Regulatory Services now submitted:

(a)  The application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence be refused.

(Note: The applicant and his representative attended the meeting in support of his application.)

(b)  The application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence be refused.

(Notes: 1. The applicant and his friend attended the meeting in support of his case. 

2. Councillor S Walsh did not vote on this item as he had left the meeting)

(c)  The application for the re-grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence be refused.
