Trading without a licence to provide home boarding for Dogs

Minutes:

RESOLVED that, having considered a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (Place):

 

1.  The Council Solicitor be authorised to institute legal proceedings under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 in respect of the alleged trading without a licence to provide home boarding for dogs at Paws (Paws Pet Services), 4 Kendrick Close, Coventry, CV6 6HD

 

2.  That authority be delegated to the Director (Streetscene and Regulatory Services) to authorise legal proceedings for any further offences which may come to light before the case under consideration has been resolved in court.

RESOLVED that, having considered the circumstances set out in the reports of the Deputy Chief Executive, Place, now submitted:

 

(a)  The Application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Fawad Seddiqi be refused.

 

(Note: Mr Seddiqi and his interpreter attended the meeting in support of his case)

 

(b)  The Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence held by Mr Paramjit Singh be confirmed.

 

(Note: Mr Singh, his wife and his Union representative attended the meeting in support of his case)
