Illicit tobacco products Minutes: RESOLVED that, having considered a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (Place), the Council Solicitor be authorised to institute legal proceedings under the Fraud Act 2006, Trade Marks Act 1994, The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, against the appropriate person in respect of the large quantity of illicit tobacco products found in a Mercedes Vito vehicle stopped at The Park Paling, Coventry and at home address of 21 Anglian Way, Coventry.
In addition, it was agreed to delegate powers to the Director of Streetscene and Regulatory Services to authorise legal proceedings for any further offences which may come to light before the case under consideration has been resolved in court.

Illegal Tobacco Goods (1) Minutes: RESOLVED that, having considered a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (Place), the Council Solicitor be authorised to institute legal proceedings under the Trade Marks Act 1994 and the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, against the appropriate person in respect of the large quantity of illicit tobacco products found at European Mini Market, 98 Clay Lane, Coventry.
In addition, it was agreed to delegate powers to the Director of Streetscene and Regulatory Services to authorise legal proceedings for any further offences which may come to light before the case under consideration has been resolved in court.
