RESOLVED that Councillor Mrs Lucas be elected as Chair of this meeting.

There were no declarations of interest.

To consider whether, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public for the item of private business on the grounds that that item involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of that Act, in particular paragraph 1 of Part 1 of that Schedule.

RESOLVED that, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the public be excluded from the meeting for the item of business contained in Minute 5 below relating to “Appointment of Director of Education” on the grounds that that items involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of that Act, in particular Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of that Schedule.

There were no other items of urgent public business.
