Proposed Deedmore Road, Hillmorton Road & Lapworth Road Area 20mph Zone

Coventry City Council has a vision to become a low speed city. This is aimed at 

making local areas feel safer, especially for residents.

Many of the roads in your area already have traffic calming features (such as

chicanes, road humps or cushions) to slow down traffic, but the actual speed

limit is still 30mph.  Therefore, we are proposing to make the area a 20mph zone. 

This means we will install signs to show where the 20mph zone starts.  In order to  keep speeds low, we also need to put additional traffic calming on Deedmore Road.  Therefore, we are proposing to install speed cushions at the existing build out features on Deedmore Road.  Speed cushions are proposed  because Deedmore Road is a bus route.
