Proposed Residents' Parking Scheme - Tile Hill Station Area

Purpose of the consultation

Proposed Residents’ Parking Scheme – Tile Hill Station Area

Following concerns raised by local people about rail users who are leaving their cars parked all day in and around the local area we want to know what you think about a resident parking scheme.

The scheme would be in place for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon.  This would stop non permit holders parking all day as they would have to return to move their car when the parking restriction is in operation.  Double yellow lines would also be installed to prevent parking in some areas such as at junctions.

You would be able to purchase a parking permit to allow you and your visitors to park in the resident parking area.  Non-residents would not be able to have a permit and could not park their cars all day.

We are proposing two resident parking zones:

·  Zone TA –  for the area north of the station

resident parking in operation 9am to 10am and 1pm to 2pm

Zone TA

·  Zone CL –  for the area south of the station

residents parking in operation 10am to 11am and 2pm to 3pm

Zone CL

We would like to know if you want a resident parking scheme and what your preferred days of operation would be. Please complete the on-line survey at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Tile_Hill or alternatively complete the form below and post it back to us free of charge by 29 April 2016.

If there is support for the idea a legal process is required to introduce the parking restrictions.  This includes advertising a Traffic Regulation Order and an objection period of 21 days
